Report by Mr Pegard
This week, S3 pupils were offered a ‘continental’ cinema experience that was almost as realistic as going across the channel.
Pupils were shown a French and a Spanish film in the school theatre but they had to purchase their ticket first in the correct language using 5 euro notes! The most daring could even ask for a student discount, as long as they could show their Young Scot Card or their school planner!
The pupils really enjoyed the films and most commented that they had loads of fun having to chat to the ticket assistant in French and in Spanish!
This film viewing was organised as part as the media unit that pupils are studying for the Curriculum for Excellence and they will now use this experience to learn how to express their opinions about films and other media in French and Spanish.
