We had a lovely end to the term with a carol service led by our school chaplain, Fr Frank King. Some of our 1st year pupils performed a thought provoking sketch on the Nativity, and 4th year, Jack Divers, brought along the Peace Candle, lit from the perpetual flame at Bethlehem, which has been passed around Europe for the last 30 years.
During the last week of term, pupils also made up parcels and delivered them to those in need, collected textiles for Mary’s Meals, held a concert for Senior Citizens and raised over £500 for Save the Children on Christmas Jumper Day! We need a holiday after all that.
A very happy and peaceful Christmas and New Year from everyone at Our Lady’s High School. We look forward to seeing everyone back fresh and excited on January 7th 2013 at 9 o’clock.
