Report from Mrs King
21 pupils and 7 staff set off at 5.45 am on Saturday 4th June to tackle Ben Nevis. The weather was very warm and sunny, very favourable to take in the panorama. The views climbing were spectacular and despite the heat and the tough terrain, OLHS staff and pupils did themselves proud.
There were 12 schools in total climbing for St Andrew’s Hospice so the path was very busy with teenagers and dogs and bikes. There was no moaning or complaining from the pupils and all made it down safely to get changed, have dinner and get back in the bus for the return journey to Motherwell.
Sponsorship money has to be handed into to Deborah King in the guidance base as soon as possible
