Library
The Library is open lunchtimes and after school Monday – Thursday. Pupils can change books, read, complete homework, study, research, play board games (including chess), colour in, draw, complete puzzles and take part in Library activities. Pupils from 2nd year and above can volunteer to help as Library assistants. The Library is currently recovering from being rewired but will be back soon!

Breakfast Club – Tuesday & Thursday 8.30 – 8.50am
In the Citizens’ Cafe Tuesday and Thursday mornings. There will be toast, cereal, juice, fruit and yogurt available at no charge. All pupils are welcome, but particularly S1 and S2 pupils, and those who find they don’t have time for a breakfast in the morning. Please pop in any time from 8.30am and give it a try.

Book Group
Book Group takes place on Tuesdays at lunchtime in the Citizens Cafe. This is a great opportunity for you to take part in reading activities, borrow brilliant new books and meet friends. Please feel free to bring your lunch with you. Details from Mrs Woolley.

Homework Club
The Homework club is on Wednesday and Friday at 12.45 in room 224 in Science. Teachers are there to help with homework or for pupils to access computers.

Band
Rehearsals start next Monday 4th September.
Junior Band for S1-S3 Instrumentalists starts at 12.50 pm in the Theatre with Mrs Glover
Senior Band for S3-S6 Instrumentalists starts at 3.45pm with Mr Woods in the Theatre.

Irish Dancing
Irish Dancing Club takes place Monday lunchtimes – 12.45pm in the Fitness Suite. All newcomers are welcome from any year group and stage. Hope to see you there! More details from Mrs McGoldrick

Chess
Chess Club takes place Fridays at lunchtime in Room 201. All new members are very welcome. You do not need previous experience as you can be taught how to play. Please feel free to bring your lunch along with you. Details from Mrs Woolley.

Junk Kouture
Any girl or team working on the Junk Kouture fashion competition can work in Ms Steinert’s room, lunchtimes Tuesday – Thursday on their garment. If you are interested please speak to Ms Steinert or Mrs Zambonini if you would like to join in.

Dance Club
This year Dance Club is open to S1-S3 pupils and will run Thursday after school 4-5pm. Anyone interested in joining who has not already signed up please see Miss Walmsley for more information – beginners always welcome!

 

Badminton
Thursdays 3.45-4.45 (Games Hall)

Basketball
If anyone would be interested in forming a senior basketball team that would participate in training sessions and friendly games throughout the year, please give your name to the P.E. Department.

Fitness club
Tuesday 3.45-4.45 (Fitness Suite)

Football
OLHS has football teams for Under 13s, Under 14s, Under 15s, Under 16s, Seniors and Girls 7-a-side. Keep your eyes on the daily bulletin for details or see Mrs McNeish.

Girl’ football, Wednesdays, 3-4pm, new members are always welcome, no experience needed! See Miss Cawley for a consent form.

Netball
S1 & 2 netball – Monday 3.45-4.45 (Games Hall)
S3-6 netball – Tuesday 3.45-4.45 (Games Hall)

Running Club
Wednesdays after school 3-4pm. Please hand in a consent form to Miss Moir. Staff and pupils both welcome! Suitable for all abilities.
