The Met Office broadcasts UK weather warnings for rain,snow,wind,fog  and ice .

A weather warning generally refers to an alert issue , an agency to warn citizens approaching dangerous weather .

They are 3 levels of warning

  • Yellow: A  yellow warning means its one down from amber so it is the least severe out of the 3 Severe weather is possible and it may affect you.
  • Amber: An amber warning means that is the next level down from a red warning so the situation is not quite severe but there is a potential risk to life and property
  • Red : A red weather warning is the most serious kind of weather warning and its most likely to cause damages and many homes could have power cuts and its a big risk to peoples life.
