Next Wednesday 24th May is Sports Day.
It will be a non-uniform day. However, pupils who are taking part in events MUST ensure they are wearing suitable clothing as you will not be able to change. It will be £1 for non- uniform day and proceeds from the day will be supporting our charity in Malawi.
There will also be stalls with face painting and nail painting. There will also be a BBQ at lunchtime. There will be burgers, hot dogs and vegetarian burgers. Juice and water will also be for sale.
The Lifestyle Development Faculty is organising a Sports Day on Thursday 26th May. Pupils will compete in their House groups resulting in an overall winning house. The events will take place on the bottom ash field for the duration of the school day.
Lists of participants and events have been posted in the PE department and in the Zone. Pupils should check these lists to ensure they know what event they will be participating in. All pupils will be taking part in some way so remember your PE kit!
As this will be a non-uniform day, pupils will pay £1, which will go towards the Malawi First Aid Appeal. There will also be various stalls to help with fund raising, offering refreshments, home baking and other surprises! We are looking forward to an action packed, fun filled and exciting day!
Today was a non-uniform day to coincide with Christmas Jumper Day in aid of Save the Children.
There were plenty of Christmas jumpers, Santa hats, and even the man himself sauntering around, pretending he was busy. Meanwhile, 6th years were decorating our staff common room ready for the Clydeview Christmas Party tomorrow.
And just in case anyone wasn’t feeling Chrismassy enough, our lovely canteen ladies served Christmas dinner 🙂
And in the middle of all that fun, we raised over £500 for Save the Children!
Today is a non-uniform day at OLHS. Everyone pays £1 for the right to take part and the money goes into school funds to help pay for other events later in the year. 🙂
Report from Mrs Macfadyen
Staff and pupils enjoyed a non-uniform day on Thursday 31st March. Each person paid £2 to take part with all proceeds going to our nominated Lenten Charities.
